Since 2010, Gray Puksand has been instrumental in the ongoing development of the Al Siraat College campus in Epping North. Originally a modest 4-acre site, the campus has expanded through strategic acquisitions to an impressive 11-acre facility. Designed to serve a vibrant community of around 1,200 students, the college caters to a diverse demographic, with students from 28 nationalities and 31 non-English first languages.
The latest addition to the campus is the Year 3–6 Learning Hub, marking the first phase of a three-stage construction plan aimed at establishing a comprehensive Middle School Learning Hub.
This positioning enhances the utilisation of the college grounds and integrates seamlessly with adjacent junior learning and recreation areas.
The hub is designed as a foundational element that allows future expansions to integrate seamlessly without redundancy, minimizing waste and maximizing functionality.
In constructing the new learning hub, Cabinet Timbers provided high-quality OSB Board and Pre-finished Limewash Hoop Pine Plywood. These materials were chosen for their durability and aesthetic appeal, aligning with the college’s requirements for sustainable and cost-effective building materials that blend seamlessly with the natural environment.
The new learning hub not only supports the college’s educational goals but also enhances the architectural beauty of the campus. It establishes a foundation for future buildings in the master plan, promoting a cohesive educational environment.
